[Pre-Semester] News of Admission
After studying for about a year to get into one of Seoul’s grad schools for Translation and Interpreting, I was over the moon when I found out I got in!
(News of admission: 28th of November 2025)
< Certificate of Admission
Basically says I passed the entrance exam to study in 2026.
(I blanked out my date of birth and exam number)
Chung-Ang University was the only grad school for Interpreting and Translation I was able to apply to this year.
That’s because a family member passed away around the time I had to take another pre-requisite exam (TOPIK test) to sit the other entrance exams, which made things a tad difficult. Life happens. After I got over that, I quickly shifted my focus onto studying for this school’s entrance exam, which didn’t require a TOPIK score from me. (I found it funny how the schools require you to have a level 3/4 in TOPIK if you’re a foreigner considering the fact that the courses require proficiency in both English and Korean (for the language pair I applied for) to even pass the entrance exams and interviews).
Payment notice for Semester 1 (Issued on the 3rd of February).
I got an academic scholarship as well! (found out just over 2 months after news of admission)
I then went back to Australia to sell my car and downsize my belongings to come back to South Korea nice and light.
…More to come!
